look what's got me excited

Because I just can't help myself.... look what arrived in the mail today....

Even though I don't read MG, I couldn't help myself because Lauren Oliver is AMAZING.

"Liesl & Po" by Lauren Oliver

Liesl lives in a tiny attic bedroom, locked away by her cruel stepmother. Her only friends are the shadows and the mice—until one night a ghost appears from the darkness. It is Po, who comes from the Other Side. Both Liesl and Po are lonely, but together they are less alone.

That same night, an alchemist's apprentice, Will, bungles an important delivery. He accidentally switches a box containing the most powerful magic in the world with one containing something decidedly less remarkable.

Will's mistake has tremendous consequences for Liesl and Po, and it draws the three of them together on an extraordinary journey.

Because my WIP is about Lucifer, and in ALi Cross' "Become" the MC is the devil's daughter.. and the reviews are amazing....

"Become" by Ali Cross

Sixteen-year old Desolation Black wants nothing more than to stay in Hell where it’s cold and lonely and totally predictable. Instead, she’s sent back to Earth where she must face the evil she despises and the good she always feared.

When Desi is forced to embrace her inner demon, she assumes her choice has been made—that she has no hope of being anything other than what her father, Lucifer, has created her to be. What she doesn’t count on, is finding a reason to change—something she’s never had before—a friend

and the husband who just got back from Illuxcon, brought home these two freebies...

  1. I didn't know your WIP is about Lucifer. He is a bad influence on the bad guy in my WIP. My story is Mostly about people with Guardian Angels.

  6. @K.T.Hanna- thank you.. I'll share my WIP, I'm sure it'll most likely go into a special drawer that I will name "The OMG I can't believe I wrote a book drawer" and then never see the light of day again, LOL it would be nice to have a reader or two.. :)

@Erin- I know, my husband has told me to chill out on the book buying, and I've been trying really hard, really hard.. but libraries don't usually carry new releases, and some of them, I just can't wait for.

So, when I am done reading Soulless, I'm going to mail it to you. I couldn't go through life knowing there's a book YOU really want, but evil forces, or husbands, LOL... keep you from it.

@Sarah- I know, that cover is just so magical.... I so can't wait for my little guys to be old enough to read these books with me... I'm kinda over Dr. Suess, as wonderful as he is.
